Wow I am super bad at updating here I am really sorry um-
I hope everyone had a lovely summer! Here are some quick updates about what I have been doing:
- I have graduated from college!
- Presently working at The Job and continuing to draw illustrations/silly cartoons in my free time
- Hoping to start working as an artist with a theater company soon so that's exciting
...I've also been reading a lot and using making good use of my Netflix account. It's almost time for the fall TV season, though, so OuaT and LoK will be returning soon, and that's quite exciting. I'm sure they will inspire new artwork.
As of right now I'm considering doing some comics about Real Life, so we'll see about that, and I'm definitely at work on a longer OuaT comic called Nocturnes that I have been planning for a while and finally have scripted/storyboarded. More updates on that will appear soon.
Since I'm terribly forgetful about updating here, it's important to note that you can always follow along on tumblr - the link is down in my info. Doodles and silly cartoons that don't make it dA will be posted there, as well as liveblogs/reactions/etc.
Cheers!
Rain/Snow/Schoolwork
Well, it is a new year, and a new term at school. I'm settled in back at the flat after a lovely holiday season, and my work/class schedule is beginning to settle into a nice routine, which is always nice. Other recent adventures include:
- A trip to the Biltmore Estate with the Company of Thorin Oakenshield Jo-the-Roommate (really, we had the Key to the Lonely Mountain and everything) (we did not encounter any dragons).
- The fridge died! But it has been repaired and we once again have the ability to preserve cold things like milk and coffee creamer.
- Mary Cate brought over Paranorman, which was a lovely movie on a number of levels (th
And then it was winter
And so it was that an unusually busy fall term came (almost) to an end, for finals had concluded, and there was much rejoicing. There was also a lot of celebratory tea.
Tomorrow the flatmates and I head out on an adventure to see The Hobbit; we procured the soundtrack yesterday and have been playing it very loudly. It's not that The Roommate and I can pretty much sing the entire "Blunt the Knives" (I call it "Crack the Plates" but whatever) song, except we totally can. Plus it makes for a really epic study soundtrack.
I actually obtained a new sketchbook back around mid-semester, and it's quite full of all sorts of drawings & cartoons, so n

Hullo!
I hope everyone had a fantastic summer. Mine was relatively unexciting, but I did at least get to hang out at the pool and buy some new records and things like that. Plus I had tons of time to work on new drawings...even if I had limited scanner access, so said drawings are mostly sitting in a pile on my desk waiting to be uploaded and cleaned up. Pros and cons of being home for the summer.
Anyway, I'm back at school now, all moved into a new flat with the usual Roommate and a couple of friends. We also have a cutout of Legolas lurking in the window to alarm passersby, because we are ridiculous and geeky people. We're also all gearin
Breathing Space
April is a lovely time of year for lots of reasons, one of the most significant being that it's the time of year when university classes stop trying to consume my life/soul...more or less. Given the madness of the last week alone, I'm pretty happy to be at the start of a nice, long weekend. There has already been much catch-up on sleep, and lots of tea, and the DVR (full of CSI and Once Upon a Time) all to myself. Awesomeness indeed.
There's not too much else to talk about, as the last few weeks really have been consumed by class work and papers. I've been hired on again as the cartoonist for the paper, so that's exciting. I'll soon have to
